Free Safe Instant Messenger Program
You can download this instant messenger from: www.topcity.com/pagep. Just click the download link on the webpage. Once downloaded, install the software. At some point during the installation, it might ask you to test your microphone out. You can cancel out of that. That portion isn’t utilized within the program.
Once you run the program it will prompt you to create a new account. Choose a username that fits you. Usernames are case sensitive so type it how you want other users to see it. It will ask for your e-mail address. Only give your e-mail address if you don’t mind other GLBT members to having it, otherwise you’re welcome to just put something like bla@ksheep....
After you have created the account you want to go to the GROUPS section. Fill out the “GROUPS” information to join the GLBT group this way:
Group # 482
Group Description: leave blank
Group Password: pride
Then click the “Join Group” button and it should light up green, which indicates you are now in the group. If there are others logged in within that same group, then they will appear on-line and you can chat with them.
If you have any questions specific to the software, once you’re logged into the group feel free to direct your questions to either ‘Dustin@work’ or Dustin, which are both accounts of the creator of the program in Houghton County. If you are having a problem getting into the group you can add Dustin as a buddy and sent a message that way.
